Biography/ Experience: I am originally from the UK and have 20 years of experience in a variety of musculoskeletal settings. Before moving to NZ in 2009 I worked for the Army/Air force and NHS, in NZ I have spent my time in private practice between Dunedin and Christchurch.
Clinical interests: I enjoy all aspects of physiotherapy with a strong passion for sport physiotherapy, late stage rehabilitation and functional movement. I am very much a hands-on physio but utilise both exercise prescription and also dry needling. I also have experience in areas of sensitive claims, and pain management.
Hobbies/interests: I love being outdoors, swimming and spending time with my family and friends. I also have a big love for dog sports especially Dog Agility.
Why you love being a physio/part of the team: I love being a physio because I get to connect with people from all walks of life. I enjoy being able to help them through their rehabilitation journey and attaining their goals. Its also a rewarding career in that I never stop learning.
I love being part of a team because it gives me the opportunity to learn from each other, especially when you share the same set of values. I previously worked for You First Physio for 4 years when it was known as Riccarton Physio and it has always been an amazing team. I feel very lucky to be able to return as I have always found it to be like a second family.
